It's fine, OP. We haven't left the house since we got home Friday night. One of my kids probably has the flu (2nd year in a row of getting the flu despite being vaccinated) and the other has a cold. We watched a couple shows, played some games, did some crafts, that's about it. |
Yours sounds like my normal parenting day! For reference here is my lazy day parenting day. Wake up ~8am laze around make brunch and eat, watch tv/browse internet for a couple of hours while DC 6 plays iPad/xbox. Send kid off to friend for playdate (or friend comes over and they keep busy) and browse some more and maybe do some cleaning and take a short nap. Wake up and eat snack with DC back home. DC plays more xbox whlle we watch tv and make dinner. Pay a board game, eat dinner and more tv and bedtime. |
Dude, I thought this sounded perfectly legitimate even before I got to the fact that you are 35 weeks pregnant! |
These kinds of posts are so annoying. And p.s. your laziest day of parenting is the day you decided to buy your 5 year old her own tablet. ![]() |
If you did all that at 35 weeks pregnant my hat is off to you! |
DS, 7, had been fighting the flu for 6 days. He had a good amount of energy on Saturday so we thought he was over it and returned to a normal day. Sunday he was totally lethargic and out of it. Yesterday he was good to go. energetic, happy, and in good spirits. He spent the day watching TV, playing games on his iPad, and building LEGO. There was no way that I was going to get him doing anything. There is nothing wrong with the occasional chill day. If someone is sick or has been sick recently then taking a day off is totally fine. |
