Do we really need an au pair?

I am not the OP but to those of you suggesting an after care program, One of the reasons we don’t do this is so that DD can do an activity after school or just have some down time before dinner. I only need after care PT and I am not judging those of you using aftercare but if we did aftercare DD would be at school from 9–630 twice a week then get home at 640 and be starving for dinner which isn’t cooked yet. For most people this isn’t ideal five days a week.
