I agree...this is not about a christmas present. I think you guys need family therapy...I don't mean that as an insult. It can be very productive. I was a very difficult adolescent. I lied a lot, got terrible grades, and my parents had a lot of problems too. Family therapy did a LOT for us.

OP here: I agree that family therapy is a good recommendation for us. It has been discussed in the past, but never done. Not sure if I can them on board now, but will definitely try. Thank you all for your comments/feedback!

Since the DW thread popped up again, I'm bumping this one. OP, how are things? I don't understand why you didn't just cancel the card when it got lost/misplaced or report it stolen. Also why would you give a daughter who is acting in an untrustworthy way a credit card eeven to "pick up dinner?" Why not give her cash to do that and have her give you back anything that's left over with arecept? Or hell, order delivery? This doesn't add up when you know your kid is misbehaving.
