Party games that are a hit and that can work for ages 4-10?

+1 Pin the tail on the Donkey (can be adapted for party theme - pin the crown on princess, light saber on jedi, etc.)

Musical chairs

Bingo with Fruit Loops or candy for markers (the 4 year olds might need help)

Pinatas are always popular.

Relays of all kinds:

I like using cotton balls and spoon instead of the egg and spoon. See which team can get the most cotton balls to their bowl. This time of year you can pretend they're snowballs.

Take off shoes, put in a pile. Relay race one at a time to put on shoes. First team done wins.

Put a balloon between your knees and hop/waddle to the line and then return (might want to let them carry the ballon back to the next person in their hands.

If nothing else, kids can entertain themselves with balloons for a while. Just make sure to keep away from any younger siblings that might put them in their mouth. Latex balloons can be a very dangerous choking hazard.
