science course in HS

Does the school allow them to drop down a level (from AP to honors; from Honors to Regular) if they are finding the material too challenging?

She will need a strong background in both Chem and Bio. My son has told me that Honors Physics helped to prepare him for General Chemistry. And there is a fair amount of Chem in AP Bio.

If science comes easily to your daughter then she can probably handle taking both AP Bio and Honors Physics. She will still be studying A TON for those classes.

Our DD's sequence (looking to major in biochem):

Freshman: Research Bio
Sophmore: Research Chem
Junior: Dual Enrollment Physics
Senior: AP Bio & AP Chem (only took five classes (four of them APs) senior year)
