Zlatan on pay to play--he's not a fan

Brazil is pay to play too if you aren't good enough for a pro academy and you want real coaching and instruction. You have to attend a "soccer school" that are run by former professionals who are milking it the same way that we do in the US.

Otherwise you can have a dad coach, who probably can do a decent job but is not paid to coach.

Nothing’s for free, not even in Europe. It’s just a matter of how you end up paying for it (directly, or indirectly thru higher taxes). Maybe we could have better men’s soccer if we subsidized the poor kids thru more tax payer funded soccer, but that’s not really the goal here now is it?

Absolutely, the only way to better soccer is by finding and finding poor kids to play.

What countries are paying for youth soccer by taxes?

We cover loads of youth sports by tax. Probably more then most European countries. They dont spend their education dollars on school sports like we do.
