what the hell am i supposed to make on xmas eve?

Christmas Eve is the "fancy" meal in my family. We do an English dinner: standing rib roast, yorkshire pudding, plum pudding, etc. I haven't really figured out how to cook this AND go to Christmas Eve family service.


This is my family's tradition, too. AMAZING food. But now that there are kids going to the family service we moved it to the day after Christmas because it was too hard, and had soup instead. You don't want to interrupt or rush through a meal like that.
