I’m PP, and we are at a Big 3. You’re dealing in antiquated, ridiculous tropes on what it means to be highly gifted. Big 3 did not tell us that they could not serve DS’s needs. It’s true they have made few accommodations, but we knew that going in. Social and emotional adjustment is more important to us than intellectual stimulation, which we provide through other means. I was not claiming that DS’s classmates are all highly gifted, but I would guess several are well into the gifted range, 140+. |
