You should probably read your posts before submitting. Out loud.

I'm just sayin' -- I bet that's how the OP heard of the school. The silly book. Am I right, op?

Love the area. I am also following for other recommendations. What about econ/history majors?

Really the only thing to look at Eckerd for is marine biology. On the other hand, They basically accept everyone so it is a good choice for a safety school. It is gorgeous and like living in a resort. The kids seemed happy and pets are allowed in the dorms!

I hate this trend, BTW. Grow up and leave your damn animals at home.

Did anyone visit these smaller Florida schools? Would be interested in hearing what people thought of them.

I live in St Pete - and I wish like anything I'd have known about Eckerd a million years ago when I was applying to college. It is a gorgeous campus, and as far as I can tell a really neat school.

OP: Def check out New College in Sarasota. USF in St Pete also has a gorgeous campus. It, and Eckerd, are right on the water. It's probably worth checking out U of Tampa and USF Tampa, too, while you're here.

I love it. They have a pet graduation ceremony at the end of the year that is really fun and sweet.

Because adults never have pets...?

What about International Studies at Eckerd? Or other majors in the humanities? Does anyone have any experiences they could share?
