Emily Carol or Emily Theresa?

I would actually look for a one syllable middle name.
Emily Joy
Emily Anne
etc.

Emily is 3 syllables

Disagree. Those are boring, throw away names.

Are neither names meaningful to you? Middle names should be for family.

+1 But my guess is these are Grandmas and you don't want to pick one based on who you love more, which is why you're asking for which flows better? If I had to choose I'd go Carol because 3 syllable + 3 syllable feels a bit stilted.

Ummm, how are you pronouncing Emily that it has 2 syllables?

I agree. That said, if both are equally meaningful, I would go with Theresa. It’s a prettier name, IMO, and flows better with Emily.

very good point. I guess i meant the flow to Theresa (3) was better than Carol (2)

Emily is overused. If you like the initials “EC” I like the name Erica Ciara.

This has to be the most DCUM comment ever. Doesn't answer the question, insults the OP, misreads the OP (nothing suggests OP is looking for the initals EC), and suggests a worse name than the one she's criticizing. Brava!
