I had a reduction from a 32DD to a C cup and they removed just over two pounds. Doesn’t sound like much unless you were to strap one pound weights to your chest. I can stand up straight now.

No it doesn’t matter. Band size is the size around the chest, cup size is the size is the difference between the size of the band and the size when measured around the breast at its largest point.

So a D cup breast is actually always a D cup breast.

Nope. And size does matter. A 32DD is very different from a 42DD. It has to do with volume.
