Kid who can't stop singing/talking/making noise

I have two loud kids. Neither has ADHD. One wants to be a rock star.

How much time do you spend with your kid talking? Kids need to have some conversation with you. It is possible that he is not having much and so he is filling that need any way he can. Try talking to him, for one it is hard to talk and sing, for two this might be the problem and the solution.

I would sing all the time growing up. I constantly made up songs about anything and everything and it drove my sister crazy. My son (8) is the exact same way and it drives me crazy sometimes. A lot of times I join in and sing with him and we get distracted by making up a new song together. We both have ADHD, but I don't know if that's the reason for it. My sister laughs at me when I get frustrated because it's karma.

Sounds like ADHD.

Singing all the time sounds like ADHD? No, sorry, singing is not one of the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. SMH.

Many kids in my preschool class make incessant noises and it makes me bonkers! Thankfully my 6 year old DD
does NOT!

Same here! Argh! So much noise. Also very extroverted and doesn’t manage frustration well. Sigh.

Does he do this at school too? He might not even realize he is making noise.

The need for non-stop noise can be a reason to look further.
