Pp here. We had to turn away for about 5 minutes during the anatomy scan. During the prior scans we couldn’t tell anything. We didn’t have later ultrasounds. We only wanted to see the baby’s face so we were okay turning our faces. For consistency both times the ultrasound tech said they were going to use the male gender the entire time. My first baby was high risk and they didn’t slip up. |

OP here - wanted to close the loop in case anyone is interested in how this went down with Kaiser - got my results six days after the bloodwork was done. My doc emailed me with the results in an email where the subject line said "genetic testing and gender" so I'd know what I was getting when I opened it!
