We have tubs of different sizes of precut pvc pipe, connectors, pool noodles, cardboard, duct tape, clothespins and sheets. My DD and her friends loved to make different things & forts even at 10/11 years old. One year they made a lemonade stand out of it all. It's sad, but even now, building activities are overlooked for girls. |
We had a blindfolded food taste test at my DD's 11th. Split the kids into two teams and have two from each team try to guess the what the food is. We kept it pretty mundane with things like grapes, strawberries, cheddar cheese, kiwi, chicken, etc. but the girls had a great time. We had a box of sour cream and onion dried crickets on the table and I told them it probably wouldn't be one of the items. Then gave them sour cream and onion popcorn. The reactions were priceless.
It's an inexpensive activity that is a lot of fun and you can drag it out as long as you want... just need to prep the items ahead of time. Also, be sure to check with parents about any food allergies. |
