Dinner party for teens

I don’t understand why a dinner party should involve food assembly. Maybe they want to act like adults. A cooking class is fun but it’s not a dinner party.

I can do that, she plans to have her bff come over early and help with the food and set up. But what else do they do? As adults, we just sit around and talk and maybe play cards. But what do teens do? I want her to be successful. Thanks.

You do nothing and dont manage this. Assist with the food, but for God's sake stay out of how they'll socialize. get a life.

It was a nice birthday!

Good God, what is this? Real Housewives?!

PP, I think this sounds like fun. I bet lots of people spend way more on birthdays -- there were people here suggesting trips to NYC, etc., when someone was asking for ideas for a kid who didn't have a lot of friends. Other people probably buy their kid $200 sneakers plus other gifts. I'm sorry people felt the need to shame you when you were just trying to be helpful.
