| And thank you in general for the insights. It's a big decision. |
Blasphemy... we are not here to help only to antagonize. |
| The chances that two kids on the same team would both find the best fit at the same institution seems unlikely. Why not share info and help one another. Your kids are probably not competing for the same spots. |
Facts. Why help when belittling and criticizing is so much easier? |
No one cares. |
It's a big enough decision to not look to a random anonymous forum for help. SMH SMH....

To be honest, I think random anonymous forums, at least the ones populated by people who have been through the recruiting process, are a lot more likely to be helpful than researching RPI rankings or other research efforts that don't involve talking to people who are familiar with the programs under consideration. This is not to say that there are a lot of posters on DCUM who actually have kids playing in college--I've always sensed that that's a pretty small category of posters for all the drama on the ECNL/DA threads. Forums that I've definitely found to be helpful are this one on College Confidential https://talk.collegeconfidential.com/athletic-recruits/ and this one, for D3 schools http://www.d3boards.com/index.php |
Yes, you totally get it. For those posters with older kids willing to share information, it has been helpful. For some reason, this forum attracts a few negative posters too who like to poopoo something when they may not be in the same part of the process or may not have the same situation. And I agree. Just seeing the 05, 07 and 08 threads tells you where the bulk of posters probably come from. I also think it may have more girl-centric posts. Anyways, thank you so much for those links! I'm going to check them out. I appreciate it. |
