Medical Schools do not care if prereq's come from come from community colleges.

I should know I'm involved with admissions at a medical school in Maryland. The average age on the other hand you have correct.

What kind of qualities are they looking for?
Tell us some things to think about.

Prioritize friendships. Lonely teens are usually lonely college students and often lonely adults.

What??

I was a totally lonely nerdy kid in HS with no friends. I have zero friends from HS.

Went to college and made some fantastic friends and have collected some meaningful, strong friendships since then in grad school and after.

Same. Some of us have no patience for high school games.

So do I - and my school cares.

Big picture - all applicants should research the individual admissions requirements and/or preferences of the individual institutions they’d like to apply to.

Not all. Some do care.

I would allow her to finish high schools. It's too bad that colleges are getting smarter and forcing families to pay for 4 year's tuition. Families across the country should push back on this heavily at the greed and inequity being forced down on middle class families.

GPA, MCAT score and possibly extra graduate school. Then it's up to the interviewer and who has personal hooks. For example at UMD Med sometimes it's about a phone call and who your DC knows. Many many students are accepted at GW, Columbia, Washington University with Community College credits. Not every applicant can afford to go to a four year university and many applicants take hard classes at their local community college to protect GPA, No admissions care.....
