I heard from parents of last year's applicants that they really only offer up to about $10k in merit. Have applicants received more than this (in merit)? |
| Pitt is already an inexpensive school. $10K makes a big difference. |
I definitely know of high stats kids who have gotten $20,000/year and full tuition. TJ |
$20K and full tuition? Is the $20K like a stipend, then? |
| Pitt is cutting back on merit aid and putting more money into matching pell grants. They realise they have done a poor job of supporting low income students and are trying to rectify the situation |
Oh oh - there goes the DMV pipeline. |
My kid got free tuition 2 years ago. |
I know two kids. One got $20k and one full Tuition. |
Can you share stats and how much merit received, please? What about ASU amazed you? My son is interested in the school for CS. Thanks |
NP. ASU has a scholarship estimator on its website. https://scholarships.asu.edu/estimator |
That was fun. Wish more schools provided such a transparent easy to use resource. |
|
We did this last year; here's another one I remember. WVU is actually getting more popular with OOS students esp from NJ.
https://admissions.wvu.edu/cost-and-aid/scholarship-chart or you can do the calculator: https://admissions.wvu.edu/cost-and-aid/scholarship-estimate |
I think most/many schools do. My DH found one for all of DC schools. |
That's a great safety, PP. Have friends who went, and I lived in Greensboro for a while. Good city. Best of luck to your DC, wherever he/she decides to go. |
