25th Anniversary Present for Wife

Is she a foodie? Does she like wine tour and the country, romantic historic inn, or dinner and a show? I’ve looked at Washingtonian for ideas of places within driving distance of DC https://www.washingtonian.com/2018/10/23/8-wine-country-weekend-getaways-near-washington-dc/
If you can tack on a Friday or Monday for a long weekend you may be able to find one of those last minute special on travel zoo https://www.travelzoo.com/top20/ or some other site. Like maybe a getaway to Nashville for example.

For our 25th she worked with a designer and got the ring she always wanted. I really had nothing to do with it except for paying for it but all I asked was that when other women admire it that I get all the credit. She didn’t get the ring until months after the anniversary but on the anniversary I told her what I wanted to do so I got full credit.

This is the way to do a jewelry gift. If she loves jewelry, she will probably want to choose the item herself.

+1 Early in our marriage my husband would buy me jewelry but then he realized that jewelry and clothes decisions should be left up to the person wearing it.

Go online and get a few ideas. Not that hard...

Do you know her taste for jewelry? I feel like going to a shop that sells nice antique jewelry and finding something really unique is more special than just “here’s a big rock!” But I know other women like a big rock and hate antique stuff. I’m imagining something from the 20’s, Art Deco, with platinum and emeralds. Very downtown Abby. But maybe not for everyone.
Does she like shows? Maybe a weekend in NYC with a broadway show?
Or just a long weekend away? Hearing great things about the Puerto Rico ritz dorado on the travel forum!

Is there something she enjoys that you're not crazy about? Could you get tickets for the opera, ballet, a women's gymnastic or ice skating competition, a couple's package at a spa, a concert by a singer she loves? All these only count if she enjoys them a lot more than you do.
