+1 and what does OP know to do for swimming and soccer? I’d love to hear that. |
My sons had a similar interest in math at that age.
Games: Sum Swamp Eeboo Make a Pie game (fractions) Manipulatives: Magnetic Mighty Minds Bear Family Counters and Pattern Blocks Unix Linking Cubes Learning Resources Apple Fractions Geometric Solids Books: MathStart series The Greedy Triangle Apple Fractions |
check out the tv show odd squad. It is delightful. My kids LOVED it. Kids solve mysteries by using math. |
Some of you are reading way too much into OP's post. Her 4 year old likes swimming and soccer, so she can easily sign him up for lessons or teams. Her kid also likes math, and she isn't sure what math related games or books would support that. She's clearly not intending to sign her kid up for Kumon or Mathnasium, because then she wouldn't be here asking for ideas on what to do. The book suggestions, game recommendations, and ideas like cooking are probably what OP was looking for. |
Are you now the OP’s spokesperson? No one needs to do any special math books with a freaking 4 year old. |
My 4yo loves the Bedtime Math series of books (there's an app too)! |
what are these concepts that he has figured out? |
Bedtime Math app is fun and a good way to level up/introduce new challenges and still show off mastery of the "easy stuff" while also learning about goofy world records, geography, or animal facts, or watching videos of incredible domino runs, etc. |
I would also be interested to know. |
