Plz recommend how to increase vocabulary for MS kids.

Classical Roots- you can buy the series on Amazon. I realize that the link is to a Christian homeschool recommendation, but my DS's secular private school used this series. It's quite good.

If you're committed, combine the classical root series with spelling city (online). So, you can buy a subscription, and input vocabulary and root words in for spelling and definition. We home schooled for a year and used this process. When we enrolled in 6th grade (public) my DS took a MS standardized test hit it out of the park on vocabulary.

I love the suggestions already given. Here is another one: The Academic Word List. It is a list of 570 semantic fields found most frequently in academic texts. The list is very helpful for students who are headed towards college or in college already. This is not a list of words of the most frequent words used in general life.
