So where is OP? I never had my kids eat the cake that is bought for an evening dinner, heck they don't really even eat the ones I buy for us on their own, which is annoying. Did OP realize her kids are just out of hand and disappeared? Or is she truly one of those that never lets her kids have sugar, if this... pay attention parents who forbid sugar, you are creating more trouble than you are "saving" your kids from sugar.

Of course your kids at that age should be able to not touch it! My 9 year old with a raging sweet tooth wouldn’t touch it
