I posted the above, I meant to add that he takes Guardian (ours)... not sure about others though.

Anyone know if Kuwabara has a website? Google hasn't come through for me...

There's no website listed on his card; I'll bet he doesn't have one.

I haven't seen one, but his receptionist is super friendly and could probably answer any questions you have.

My kids see Dr. Perez. I am very happy with him. I will note that I have a child that requires a lot of dental work is is very anxious. He has even won her over. IT makes it so much easier when your children like the dentist! We drive from Virginia to go to him if that tells you anything.

My three year old had a dental emergency yesterday. I confident about the single option in our HMO plan. I really needed an experienced pediatric dentist who has seen enough kids that I felt confident with the treatment plan (follow, pull or root canal). Based on DCUM recommendations, I convinced DH to pay out of pocker and went to see Dr. Kuwabara in friendship heights.

Dr. K met and exceeded all of my expectations (pretty high since I'm a physician myself). LOVE Dr. K, will be taking DD for her visit every year!

Dr. Perez said my child had 8 cavities then shooed me off to book the appointments for fillings and handed me prescriptions for valium (for her to take during the procedures). Went to 2 other dentists to get another opinion, neither said she had any cavities! Not going back to Perez.

Dr. K does take Delta Dental; does NOT take Cigna Dental. That's all I know (from experience).

For an amazing Pediatric Dentist in NW DC, definately try Dr. Ephraim Altmon. He is at 4301 Connecticut Ave, NW, suite 453 right on the redline at Van Ness metro. Ph# 202-470-3676. His office is beautiful and his staff is friendly. Dr. Altmon treated my child so wonderfully and she was very nervous about her first dental appointment. By the time we were done she was laughing and smiling. She loves going to the dentist now.
