I like getting them mainly so that I know the gift was actually received! It does feel a little weird to just drop something off and then never know if it was opened or appreciated.
If you don't want to write thank you notes, ask for no gifts. |

I don't expect them. But, I do send them. Child is 4, and this year LOVED writing them himself. It was a fun activity to spend a morning drawing pictures and addressing the cards.
For large parties, I've gotten email thank you, which I'm totally fine with! I find silence a bit odd. |
