I have not cared about NFL football in years. Best decision ever for me. Anyone else?

You've missed a lot of great entertainment and informative content. Too bad.

I hate football, actually, not the game itself but the whole hoopla around it. I hate the hype, the endless pre and post game analysis and most of all, I hate how it’s wrapped up with patriotism and the armed services.

The only things I care less about are college football and basketball.

I can’t name a single player right now. Same with Orioles... I used to watch Ripken, Brady, B.J... but no more. Doesn’t feel the same.

I have nothing against the players.
Make as much money as you can while your body still holds up I say.
But I just do not care anymore.

Anyone else?

I grew up a three sport varsity athlete, but the last time I was truly excited for sport ball was probably college. And that was more-so because of partying and student sections. Student-athletes were largely idiots who cheated and committed various crimes on campus which were brushed under the rug and pro athletes are largely steroid and pain pill addicted wife beaters. I've gone with my husband to NFL games with his free corporate tickets and the fan base was largely low class trash. It's honestly bread & circuses for the low watt masses.

I absolutely love football and enjoyed all the games today. Redskins got crushed by the Eagles and Cowboys blew out the Giants. Cardinals and Lions tied after an exciting 4th quarter. I have mixed feelings about the patriotic mix, but all the pro teams in every sport do the same thing. There are great players on every team.

Overweight Americans scarfing down disgusting food while yelling at people running to and fro?

Hilarious.

do you have a Coexist bumper sticker?

That's normally how I quickly identify people with no shared common ground

No, I do not and I have no idea of what you mean by that. I have shared common ground with others, just not through sports!

This is simply not true. The NFL is a 'leader' in this respect. https://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/amount-money-military-gives-nfl.html/

I'm from Green Bay. Cheering for the Packers is in my blood. But otherwise I don't care. I'll watch the Green & Gold, and then move on with my Sunday. And I don't like the patriotism/military thing, either.

I am a big MLB fan, though, and I love college basketball. College football, NHL, NBA - meh.
