Ha! I've even found that nannies don't want an only child charge--some prefer taking care of siblinigs so the kids can entertain each other while the nanny referees.

My mother (mom of 3) said having 3 is great because we kids had each other to entertain ourselves. We left her alone. We are/were 3 kids within 4 years.

As a (single) mom of one as well as my sister being a (single) mom of 1 we see that was so true. Only-children are very clingy.

Mine isn't clingy at all. Plays with us, plays with friends, not a problem at all.

I don’t get this attitude. Why have kids if you don’t want to interact with them? When they’re grown and want nothing to do with you, you’re not going to look back and wish you had spent more of their childhood playing on Facebook.
