Dosage for Effexor on a 15 year old

While I know Effexor has been a great drug for a friend, it was only used after multiple other drugs did not work. I was on Effexor and the withdrawal was horrible. Even missing a dose by a few hours would leave me with brain zaps and shaky brain that can only be explained if you have felt it. I would ask the doctor if there are other options first.

My cousin tried to suicide twice on SSRI-lexapro. The doctor added bupropion to the lexapro and the combo has been working fine. I guess everyone is different.
