Do you shower at the gym or wait until you get home?

Gym, offering free shows to hidden cameras.

It’s best to shower at the gym, while you are all sticky, smelly + full-on sweaty.

Because oftentimes when I arrive home, the yuckiness of the sweat I had after my workout doesn’t seem very gross for some reason....??
Maybe it’s my car’s A/C.

Instead of showering, I get lazy & complacent about bathing and instead focus on all other matters.

I try to avoid gym and pool showers. I was surprised my friends were having their kids shower at their pool! I only work part-time and do that from home so I recognize my opinion won’t help if you are going to work from the gym! I did used to shower at the gym after working out, but that was our office gym and the showers were really clean and literally only two of us worked out before work so I knew a shower would be available.

Home - it takes me a long time to cool down which is about how much time it takes me to drive home. I also hate the sight of fat naked guys walking around the showers.

Home. Too much work to haul toiletries to the gym. I also have little kids so not enough arms to bring another bag.

I’ll shower if there are others in the locker room or shower. If not, I don’t. First, I don’t want be alone in that situation, undressed, where a man could sneak in while I’m alone. Second, I like to show off, lol!

That’s like the peacocks in the men’s locker room- prancing and flexing without towels

PP is the reason I stopped showering and prepping at the local gym. Saw a 60-year-old woman naked as the day she was born and my sight never recovered.

Always at home. I am not sure about the cleanliness of gym showers and towels. Also, I have a sensitive skin. If even a tiny bit of bleach touches my skin, I develop a rash that can last for days.

Always at the gym, I shower at home maybe once every two weeks. The gym showers are clean, private, rarely in use at all. Plus I can use their soaps etc.

Is this a plus? I am definitely a product snob, but having to use their products is a major detractor to me. I travel and shower in hotel rooms 5 days a week and I don't ever touch the "free" stuff.

At home. Gym only has 2 hours of childcare and I usually use all of that time to work out.

Currently I shower at home, but years ago I drove to the gym closer to work and would always shower and get ready there. Even in the morning with a good number of people showering at the gym before work there was never a line fore the showers. I think there were 6-8 stall at that gym.

I exercise in the morning and shower at the gym and then go to work. The gym is by work, home is too far away.

If I'm going home (as opposed to work) I definitely shower at home. It's a lot less stuff to bring if I don't shower there. It also takes me a while to stop sweating, so if I shower at the gym right on top of a workout, I often feel sweaty still after a bit.
