See where you get in.

My kids are tweens now so my experience may be outdated, but CCUMC was really a special place. My kids will talk about good memories they have from their time there. My youngest followed his older sibling to a well-regarded independent school for PK bc I wanted them in the same school. I thought the PK program and teachers at CCUMC was every bit as good and $25K less.

20:12- where did you move your DD to? And by “outgrown” the school, do you mean she was ready for less play based instruction?

My kid absolutely loved CCPC--the kindest, most experienced teachers, wonderful outdoor space, very well run.

ccbc - our favorite in terms of the community and overall "curriculum" but the dinky playground right on western was a deal breaker

ccpc - dank basement classroom and the outside space was just ok

ccum - went with this one when DD was 2 but left for a pk3 program. She had outgrown the school.

My kids go to CCPC aftercare and the outside space is excellent. Not sure what this PP is referring to.

We are considering CCPC. Can anybody clarify on the dark basement space and the general look of the classrooms? During our tour, we weren't permitted to go into any classrooms due to pandemic precautions. We really liked the outdoor space and have heard good things about the teachers/community.

My kid went to pre-K 3 at CCPC and loved it. We loved it, too. Her classroom was downstairs but it didn't feel like a basement to me. There were plenty of windows and lots of light and the classrooms were spacious, bright, and warm.

Agreed -- both my kids are currently at CCPC (including one in the "basement" rooms) and it's a fantastic school. The classrooms are all bright and cheerful, and the basement ones aren't by any stretch dark -- plenty of windows and very warm spaces. We've been really happy there.
