I was not quibbling thy rankings Harry Potter. |
This year’s rankings were based on the records of the teams. McLean had several good teams this year. Next year’s U18/19 team could be as successful as this year’s, as the team aging up was very good and is adding several very strong players from the team that played in the national championship. |
| McLean teams did split with the age group change a few years ago. |
All that matters? To whom? In what sense? It might interest people to know what clubs and coaches are better or worse at developing all of these world-beating national team candidates before they turn 13. It can often be interesting to know what works and what doesn’t. At least for those of us not focused so obsessively on their own little Mia or Leo. Of course, we all do see how incredibly important everything becomes when they are 13, and how much wisdom the parents of these kids have shared with the forum. If you have a kid in this age group and are still focused on club rankings (instead of individual team accomplishment or player development) you clearly have learned nothing in the four or five years you have wasted as a travel parent thus far. |
