They are out at Watkins being replaced by Flex Academy

Flex Academy isn't really an afterschool provider. They provide enrichment activities and clubs but they don't manage the day-to-day operations of running an afterschool program. Often Flex Academy and an afterschool provider work together at a school.

This will be Flex's first year as aftercare vendor at Watkins and Langley. They approached with a proposal that made them more attractive than Springboard and that is why those schools were already canning Springboard when the news broke.

Interesting! Our school uses flex for classes only, curious to hear how it goes.

They are offering a sliding scale, which Springboard refused to do. And it will be easier to have just Flex for base care and for activities, rather than both Springboard and Flex.

Flex is also providing summer camp at Langley and this Urban Mom is very grateful for an affordable, walkable camp with the caregiver my DC already knows and loves.
