If this is for real, look at past relatives' names. My dad had a great-aunt named Elsie and I always thought if I had to change my name, I'd go with Elsie. Or, can your DD go by her middle name? I know many people who do that. |
JoJo, like JoJo Siwa. Get the bow to match! |

Seems like if your teen wants to change their name, THEY would already have something in mind, not you. |

If I was a teen that hated my name, there’s no way I’d let my parents pick a second time.
A friend’s son is trans. He picked a new, male name last year and began using it at school last year. It suits him. My friend is supportive of the change to a male name, but hates the particular name selected. She liked a name that honored a grandparent her son never met. Her son is mulling it over as a new middle name. He dropped the female middle name when he changed his first name. |

The reason why this post is a fake is that if a child did not like their name for 14 years and wants a new name then any 14 year old for one, is entirely capable of thinking of a new one and for two, would never let the process of choosing it be taken over by the parents who need other people to decide such a personal thing for them. |
This must be a troll. When you are 14, you choose your own name. |
