Either Indian women in this area are fabulous cooks who think nothing of slaving away in the kitchen for hours, or there is one crazy poster who pops into most “Need a super quick and easy meal, I’m exhausted” thread to type out a ridiculous multi step recipe for an Indian dish and adds that serves wth fresh naan or freshly made pappadums or whatever. Sorry, that’s not easy and given that many of us don’t cook Indian food from scratch often, we don’t have all these ingredients and side dishes waiting about. |
The ones(s?) who like to issue “PSAs” to enlighten us all about their pet peeves and superior way of being. |
The one(s) who can’t look away even though they know they’re going to get all butt hurt about the topic. |
To expand on this, the entire swath of posters who believe that if you disagree with them, you must be personally involved in the post are annoying AF. Example: "Person A is really annoying." "Hmm, I don't know, I can kind of see her point." "Look, Person A has found this thread." No, you flaming nitwit, I just disagree with you. It happens. In fact, given your demonstrated lack of brainpower, you'd think you'd be accustomed to people with more intellectual horsepower telling you they disagree with you. |
People who populate their posts with emojis deserve to be shot out of a cannon into the Potomac. |
PP you’re quoting. Yes, I don’t get that either, but I guess that’s part of the DCUM culture... the train wreck effect. I personally don’t read those threads or get hurt about it. They just pop up on the recent topics list every so often, so I know they’re a thing. |

The one(s) who, after getting bested in some lengthy back and forth, resort to saying that the topic at hand is "above your pay grade" or that PP "lacks the critical thinking skills" to understand. It's a total non sequitur to whatever was being discussed. |
The MCPS PR boosters. They will defend anything, then play dumb deflecting the original topic and posts and then go back to defending. Similar writing style and really out of step with the general consensus from clearly separate and more numerous posters. I'm wondering if the poster bring up the former MCPS teacher isn't one of them.
The Silver Spring booster on steroids. If anyone from Silver Spring dares post anything unflattering about TP or Silver Spring she will first accuse them of being a W parent and then accuse them of being from VA. Next she will try to make them post more identifying details to prove they are from the area. Once they have done this she will then attempt to figure out who they might be. |
The grumpy poster that tries to shut down threads in the Family Relationships forum. For the In Law 4th, she posts that it isn't necessary. She gets rude and tries to shut down other crazy in law threads. Her advice boils down to just tell the in law to 'something' off. If a thread gets long she will get frustrated that the OP hasn't taken her advice and the conversation is still going on.
I don't think she understand how to use an anonymous discussion board. If you don't like the question don't respond. If the OP doesn't take your advice don't get offended. If you are done and tired of the thread stop reading it and responding. |
The guy who insists that Montgomery County is going to shit. |
I see what you did there, pp. Getting the cannon ready... |
I think there is a whole set of conserva-trolls here that desperately want to impugn the DC area for some reason. DC is a great, vibrant city and a good place to live. |
