Moving to the Pacific Palisades?

Anonymous
I am a born and bred east coast girl and went to LA with a bad attitude for the first time decades ago.

I simply do not understand the east coast aggression towards LA. Sure, there are fake people EVERYWHERE but I was shocked by how many nice and down to earth people I met there.

Started spending lots of time there and in Pacific Palisades. It's no more soulless than Georgetown but the weather is better, the food is better and the people are way more relaxed. I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could!

Pacific Palisades is lovely. I'd live there easily if I could afford it and work from home. Schools can be an issue, but there are lots of options if you don't mind driving a bit

Between PP and Santa Monica is a much smaller neighborhood called Rustic Canyon. Think big sycamore trees, winding roads along an old creek, slightly more artsy than flashy. It's worth checking out too.

Did you end up moving to Pacific Palisades? I am so horrified by the devastation of that charming area.
