Me again. It’s also more annoying when other people are around, I find it really rude. If it’s just me and him it’s not so bad |

He was rude.
If I couldn’t leave I would ask him to go elsewhere. He’s being unreasonable by getting mad that you asked him not to be rude. |
This. |

Another one for Team OP!
Using a phone on speaker is obnoxious plain and simple unless you are in the privacy of your home or car. Not while others are around. It's amazing how manners have simply disappeared. It is ESPECIALLY rude in an office WHERE EVERYONE CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! The Dodo in my office who is a frequent offender of speaker phone misuse could not find his cell phone today. He proceeded to call it literally 25 times to try and find it. This genius of course did not find it but anyone close to his office got to listen to his annoying ring tone for 20 minutes. He did not think to check his office???? I would have thrown his phone out the window, except the windows do not open in my office.

You are clearly just a nosy b!tch if you need to hear both sides of a conversation that don't concern you. Using a speakerphone in the presence of others is rude, too bad you obviously have no manners or class. |
| I agree with OP... I don’t want to a conversation on speaker. For the love of god, put the phone to your head or use headphones. |
| Speakerphone is annoying. No need for it with a two person convo. |
Agreed. I’d be annoyed. |
| You are right, as you describe it. However, I'll bet dollars to donuts that he got aggravated by your tone, or the way you phrased the request, rather than the request itself. |
| Typically dealing with a long customer service call is like the seventh circle of hell, so to make you also sit in on that is especially annoying. Team you. He should go inside or take it off speaker phone. If he's alone or driving, yes, use speaker phone. Otherwise, keep it to yourself. |
