Why shouldn't father's day involve doing things with his family, as a father? Mother's day certainly involves a fair amount of expectation that Mom will have a 'special day' with the kids.

I’m getting up with the kids and taking them out of the house so my husband can sleep in. Then he’s taking our son to t-ball (which he enjoys), then we are going to Texas Roadhouse early, then he is going to the movies solo while I handle bedtime.
