Best clinic for bad quality embryos

Anonymous
Thanks. I had an endometrial function test years ago. It was somewhat abnormal, but no one has done anything about it because they can't in fresh transfers or didn't think it mattered. Even with my history, no re will ever put in more than 2 or three embryos due to my age. Is immune worth pursuing? At this point, I'm leaning towards it as it doesn't seem that anything else is working. Would you pick braverman? KK will take my insurance. Is she as good?

Have you done a biopsy for chronic endometritis? It can cause implantation failure and miscarriage but is easily treated with antibiotics.

Yes, but i don't have it

Have you tried supplements for egg quality?

Also, has your partner's sperm been tested for DNA fragmentation? We added PICSI to our last cycle and had much better results. We don't have clear male factor but had several failed cycles and repeated losses.

Yes. Picsi hasn't helped. We either do it or icsi.

For immune testing and out of the box thinking try Drew Tortoriello at SIRM in NY

If you’ve tried a variety protocols at more than one high quality clinic, it may really be egg quality. In any event, I can’t imagine you really want to keep going on the same path too much longer. Maybe do a consult with CCRM to see if they have anything new to say, so you feel like u looked at every reasonable option. I decided to do DE after having similar issues. It worked and I’m happy not to be doing ivf anymore.

Thanks. Part of me wants to try everything before DE. It's hard to wrap my head around DE, especially in my early 30s, when I'm still responding to cycles etc. The other part of me is just sick of throwing out all my money on ivf. But like everyone else on this board, I really want a baby. So maybe the only option is de/adoption

I would absolutely look at donor egg if that has been suggested by your RE. I think that 10+ cycles means you have probably tried everything.

+1 I have two children because of Dr. T. I’m so glad I made the decision to travel OOS to see him. Amazing doctor!

Certainly not a quick fix, but 10 cycles is a lot of money, time and emotional trauma to keep continuing doing the same thing essentially.

It’s so hard. Especially when you get eggs and REs are initially encouraging. I almost wished I had terrible hormone levels and everyone told me up front I couldn’t do ivf (which happened to a friend in her mid 30s). I would have been devastated, but it would have been clear and quick. The years of thinking “maybe if I just try this” it will work we’re unbearable, but irresistible at the same time. I’m not saying the DE is for everyone. My concept of motherhood has to do with raising a child and the relationship, so when it came down to it, genetics wasn’t central to motherhood for me. It did take me time to get comfortable with the details of the actual process (donor selection, etc).

Whatever u decide I hope you get to be a mom soon.

What is bad quality embryos? They are all PGS abnormal? They all don't make it to day 5? only 1 or 2 out of many are normal? It really depends what you mean by that.

What protocol are you on, that for 10+ cycles is just being tweaked?

If you answer these - it's easier to give ideas.
Multiple consults are a good idea.
