How many chances do you give a good babysitter?

What kind of a question is this? You think OP pays her for both Saturday and Sunday, every weekend, even if she doesn't work? That's absurd.

No, that’s guaranteeing hours. If you have a nanny and want them retain the nanny, you pay her. If OP is paying only when she needs the nanny, and the nanny is expected to remain available and flexible, I know exactly why she’s “unreliable.” Nobody has the right to on-demand childcare without paying for it, so the nanny is begging family and friends, possibly last minute if she receives last minute notice from OP.

Wrong. The babysitter usually nanny and I am a SAHP. Our babysitter agrees to a certain day and time where in she is guaranteed four hours of work at $25 an hour. For one baby who is usually asleep.

A weekend babysitter does not get the same perks as a nanny.
OP, where are you located?

I would try to find a new more reliable sitter and use her as back up.

She needs her own childcare to watch your child. Not an ideal situation.

What the h@ll did you do when she canceled last minute? Cancel your own plans? I can’t have that happen even twice. Unless I could find an alternative easily, that is terrible.
