Transition from crib to bed nightmare

For what it's worth OP, I don't know anyone who has had this become a long-term issue. My friends' children have gotten over it within a few days to a few weeks. I was super lucky with my first child who would call us to get her out of her twin bed, but I am dreading switching my almost three year old who I just know is going to be just like your kid.

Seems like switching to a bed needs to be done early, or wait until after 3.
