Is laying on your back for about an hour dangerous during the second and third trimester?

So apparently I sleep on my back, because I can’t control my body, when I’m already asleep. I try to sleep on my side and somehow I always wake up on my back. My OB told me it’s fine, if it was really dangerous, people would probably extinct. Trust your own body. Stop doing it, if it doesn’t feel good anymore.

I was told sleeping on your back is a risk to you not the baby because you don’t get enough oxygen when you get in your latter months (bigger). However, while you’re sleeping, your body will wake you up and you will most likely roll over when you don’t receive enough oxygen. It’s nothing to worry about and like pp said, trust your body.
