Inhome/center based: Center in Gaithersburg
Monthly Amount: $2000 for infant room, now around $1800/month for 2's room Age of child: 2.5 years old and why you chose that place? - close to our house - play based curriculum - two playgrounds plus indoor gym - very clean facility given the highest marks by MD licensing board - low teacher turnover (we know because they have a board with all the teachers' photos, bios/qualifications, and how long they've been there) - they have a junior K and K program, which we like because DD is a fall baby |

Center
NW DC $1950/month. They are close to our apt, their hours work for our schedule (7am-6pm). Teachers were very friendly and caring and continue to be. DD has been there for 3 years and we are still very pleased with the facility. Will be sending next child there so our payment will increase to nearly $4K per month.

|
All day daycare/preschool 18m and up only.
In home but it's kind of a chain (6 total locations) $340 a week for full time. 5 min from my house and in a non English/non Spanish native language. Low staff turnover, provide home cooked meals (soup every day). |

Center
$2060/month Bethesda Why I chose it - low teacher turnover, organized management, lots of outside time (both in the outdoor play area and in daily walks around the neighborhood), very happy parents (spoke with others for recommendations) |

Center in North Springfield
$265/week ($1060 for a 4 week month) 3yo (potty trained) We picked it because it was close to home, others in my neighborhood suggested it, the Virginia day care licensing violation page had only minor issues like paperwork. http://dss.virginia.gov/facility/search/cc2.cgi |
Is that for infant? If so, it's less than other places I have seen. Mind sharing where? |
That's a great price for an infant at a center. Where is this?!? |

Center
$400/week for infant, $375 for 3yo Alexandria |
| $250/week home daycare |
$500 OMG is this normal for dc not va or md but DC? |
That seems a little high for an in home. But it can be that much or more for a center in DC, or close-in MD and probably VA, but I am less familiar with that. |
| In homes for infants in DC can be that high because of the low staff/baby ratio |

Small center EOTP DC
$1700/month Chose it due to location (close to home) and warmth and caring attitudes of director and staff, as well as recommendations from other parents in my neighborhood. Didn’t know enough to ask about things like teacher turnover with my first child, but we have stayed and sent our next two children there as well. Been there for five years, only two teachers have left in that whole time. It is truly like a family (that I pay a lot of money each month). My middle child had a medical emergency while at daycare and I believe the teachers there saved her life. I am enternally grateful. |
