Someone has to pay for the eggs. |
The last egg hunt I took my kids to was at a local nature center. Parents were loading up there kids’ baskets when the kids were perfectly capable (think 3-5 year olds, not 1 year olds). My kids got one each. Never again! |
1 - Ft Myer last weekend
2 - Church this weekend 3 - My single and childless friend is excited to do one for DS after brunch on Sunday 4 - White House on Monday So - 4 in total. What's your problem OP - want to judge her bc she takes her kids to too many egg hunts? |
Two, one at our club and one at church after service. |
None. |
Usually just the one in our backyard for our kids and their cousins. This year, two of DD's classmates (she's in first) invited us over for egg hunts, so we'll go to those, too. |
We go to quite a few.
1 local church that invites the community 2 moms group 3 zoo ( we’re not in DC) 4 hunt at home on Easter Might as well enjoy it while they’re young. |
1 at a friend's home, and we always do one at home as a family too. |
None. Minus the preschool one, and maybe hiding some in our yard. And only then because the school made it a thing. We aren’t religious and doing anything feels weird. |
It has always been this way. |
2 or 3.
1. Last weekend neighborhood event 2. Zoo -not in DC 3. I might do a small one for just my kids or possibly their cousins. FWIW we’re not Christian but it’s fun for the kids. |
Three (1 child, nearly 3 years old):
-DD's Preschool -Our gym is hosting an 'aqua egg hunt' in the pool -Our own back yard (I stuffed 20 plastic eggs last night with chocolate and stickers, DH will hide them during her nap on Sunday.) |
One, and only because our church hides eggs on the lawn while we are at mass. I find egg hunts bring out the worst in parents. Like.....why do you need to help your kid get every last plastic egg filled with candy you likely won’t let them eat anyway? Just let the kids do the hunting! |
I could answer this truthfully 2 ways.
None. We don't go to any organized egg hunts. Approximately 87 - in our house, our front yard, our neighbor's yard, our backyard, our house, our front yard, our neighbor's yard, our backyard.... My kids love hiding and finding the eggs and when the weather is great I get a kick out of it also. I hide them (empty by the second or third time) and kill 20 minutes or so of running around w/ the search. In fact, maybe this year I'll branch out to the playground down the street! |
