Should I include WISC with large range in appeal?

Isn’t a 128 IQ like 97th percentile? That is insane. When they take 20% of a grade.

Yes. A 130 IQ is considered mildly gifted. Since the results itself even state the score could be off a few points either way, I thought for sure he’d be in. I was pretty shocked!

I was on the fence about getting the WISC. I thought my child would get a high WISC score.

I just reread the report. His IQ was 116 (86th percentile) but his GEneral abilities index was 124 (95th percentile).

Does that mean he is not gifted but has high ability to learn?


124 is not high enough to get in. Just write a letter.

Even this is questionable. My child was denied with a 133 WISC.
