Who calls it that? Certainly no one who attended with me. The school is called Madison.

You're showing your age. I have a HS senior and all the kids call it Wisco these days. Took me a while to adjust.

Not among DC’s peer group in DC. That said, I think Madison is ambiguous in this neck of the woods because of JMU.

They can get the equivalent of an MBA but as an undergrad. Many then go to Chicago, Milwaukee or Minneapolis for professional training before going to other cities.

The prospect of replacing your undergrad education with “the equivalent of an MBA” is kinda depressing. MBA is 2 years of work and often a triumph of style/networking over substance.

Not dissing undergrad business programs generally or Wisconsin/USC specifically. Just pointing out that people should be looking for something more/different/better from such programs than MBA equivalence.

So maybe I'm not showing my age, but rather my Badger heritage?

On Wisconsin!

They aren't studying to be real estate agents.

not Wisco.

Locals say 'Sconsin

College age still say Mad Town. It's about the fun.

apples and oranges. Where will the kid live? I can tell you in L.A. the answer is obvious. On the east coast, more of a toss-up.

I'm Shmacked (a YouTube channel) basically goes around to different schools, films a few drunken bacchanals, edits it into a five minute vidoe and gives people the impression that it represents college life.

It doesn't.

lolol no. Born and raised in Wisconsin, lived there for 36 of my 43 years, I have literally never ever ever heard "'Sconsin." Wisco has gotten more popular in the past few years. "Sconnie" is a thing. Sometimes you'll hear people refer to the instate kids as "Scons" or "Sconnies" and the out of staters from NY/MD/NJ/CA etc. (of which there are many) as "Coasties"

'sconsin's what it sounds like when the locals say WISconsin (except when it sounds like WESconsin)
