How to lose weight in the next 2-3 weeks

Anonymous

Are you the OP of the thread where your ex is throwing your son a graduation party and you don’t want to go?

(Regardless, try hot yoga - it helps you feel better, tone, and decrease appetite for hours. When I started I lost 5lbs without trying.)

Lift some weights which might tone you up a bit and the dress will look better.

Lastly- buy a back up dress and don't take the tags off until after the event. It will be there if you need it.

Nobody is "toning up" in 2-3 weeks. None of you seem to understand how muscle works at all.

Lots of absurd advice here

Focus on weight loss instead of toning since you don't have much time. Stick to 1000 calories a day and sleep a lot, like try to fall asleep around 8pm. Sleeping aids are okay.

OP here. No, I am not the same poster. I know I can't tone up in that short amount of time. I just want my dress not to be so tight.

Mainly gluten. And salt.

Also watch out where your water goes, if it goes into your lower legs and or belly then it can be heart.

Google PSMF. Lyle McDonald has a great book on it called the rapid fat loss handbook.

Just count your calories. I'd do lean proteins and veggies like brocolli that are filling. 1,000 calories seems a little low to me (I would be ravenous). I'd start around 1,200 and try to be more active.

Have you used myfitnesspal? It is a free app. You can track calories, exercise and weight loss in it.

While that is true, if OP just wants to lose water weight (provided she’s not already shed much retained water) doing all these stupid things to drop water weight for a one-time event may work. She’ll probably lose some muscle mass too, but hey, at least the dress will fit.

Some unsolicited advice- buy a dress you feel comfortable in NOW and set long-term goals for your weight and lifestyle so the next big event that rolls around you won’t have to starve yourself there weeks out.

Buy a dress that fits. You are going to feel like crap doing all the above crazy advice.

OP’s event has likely come and gone. This thread was bumped by a poster who is selling something.

I will be wearing a body shaper but I think the dress would feel better if I dropped a few pounds. I am 43, 5ft 3in and I weigh around 126 or so. I feel more comfortable closer to 120. Any foods/drinks I should eat or avoid in the next few weeks?

first of all, if you weigh 126 pounds I don't think you are overweight. If this dress doesn't fit you than I would just buy a new dress that does. If you are convinced you are fat realize that starving yourself is not the way to go. Your body will resist in the long period and you will gain it back.

But, seriously you are fine. And remember nobody is going to be paying attention to you. They are going to be looking at their child graduating! I hate this society and how we feel we all have to be stick thin.

Skip cheese if you love it. It’s too easy for cheese lovers to over indulge on low carb diets. Weigh your food and count your calories. Low carb is merely a device to help you cut calories but it’s far from foolproof.
