SAHMs, why don't you leave the house?

Because my house is lovely and my children play nicely without making too much mess

Actually, we do go outside but we avoid you because you're mean.

This.

Are you venting about homebodies or people who don’t like to play outside in the cold?

Both? It was nice on Friday and I noticed 99% more moms and strollers outside (during the day) in my neighborhood. Like, where have you been for 5 months?!?

They were having play dates with one another and you weren’t invited.

I really dislike the cold. And I have little girls who are just as happy indoors. We have a large basement and plenty to do.

You don’t have any idea when I leave the house or what I do. Stop projecting your indignation on me for perceived choices.

My kids are older. I used to get them outside for awhile every day to the playground, but I didn't spend time wondering why other SAHMs "don't leave the house." I figured they had other (better?) things to do. And they probably had a bigger house than mine where the kids could run around with room to spare.

Some days, my kids were tired and cranky, so we stayed home. Hot or cold weather was never an issue.

It baffles me how many people do not leave the house. Or, won't leave the house unless it is over 50*.

So, what do you do?

How do you know what other people are doing? Why do you care?

More people are outside when the weather is nice. Fact of life #363627467

Because I dislike the cold and am often too lazy to spend the 20 minutes chasing my kids to properly dress them for only 10 minutes outside. Now that it’s warming up you will see us more.

My kids are just as happy in the backyard.

My preschooler only wants to play at the pack when his school age siblings are there otherwise he would rather play at home in his PJs or with is friends at his part time preschool( lots of outside play there )

Americans are too soft.

Why are you tracking people and caring?

See how easily you get triggered when you never leave your house.

Ha, that was pretty funny, I hate to admit.

Um, not the Scandinavian parents and their children. Google it.
