I'm UU and we are very welcoming but also not terribly Christian. Given that the poster referenced "the Lord" in her post I'd think she'd be happier in a UCC or Episcopalian community.

Recommend that OP also gently inquire about the church’s views on important issues. We are not gay, but a mixed religion family. We were surprised when a very welcoming church declined to baptize our child because we said that we intended to raise the child in both faiths. I appreciate that’s their choice, but I would have liked to have known that earlier.
