Writing a book and selling it is more like part of the Job Description as an elected official and probably a candidate for elected office too..

Just yesterday Gov Hogan helped Gov Christie sell his book to the fine people of Maryland.

LESSON LEARNED: If you want to sell lots of Books, consider becoming an elected official.

she was on the board of directors of a hospital and had the hospital buy her book. It’s called self dealing

Just another day in Baltimore. What a shame and to think that before this I thought she was OK.

Hilarious! In addition to being thoroughly corrupt this woman has zero shame and the charisma of a mushroom.

Haha!!
I’m sad for Baltimore, though.

Breaks my heart. I worked in the 2000s in Baltimore with O'Malley and Dixon (both corrupt in their own ways). It is actually a decent city with some really nice people that just cannot catch a break. It deserves much better leadership.

But unsurprisingly still competent enough to be mayor.

Baltimore Sun reporting that Pugh intends to resign. Good.

She's resigning. Attorney speaking now.
Resignation effective immediately.

Best response so far was from David Simon on Twitter:

To everyone coming @ me and demanding a season six of The Wire about Catherine Pugh, her ridiculous kiddie-books-as-shakedown and the rank complicity of Baltimore medical systems and charities and such in this citywide grift, let's be clear:

Full stop. No. I don't do half-hour.

What the hell does party affiliation have to do with it? You partisan pricks are so ignorant.
If you wanna paint her as "one of them" and chastise an entire group then don't make it about her being a Dem...as if Republicans aren't crooked too.
Instead you should say, ANOTHER LOVELY PISCES!! You'd probably be more accurate and sound less stupid.
