Mosquitoes

Getting rid of standing water on your property (and your neighbors'!) is the key.

A fan that you can bring out near where you will be sitting (or have installed on the porch roof) really does help.

We have a "mosquito fish" (gamboja? not sure how to spell it) in a small fish bowl. The mosquito fish eats mosquito larvae. If the fish bowl is they only standing water, it should break the life cycle of mosquitos in your yard (they don't live very long).

Bird and bat houses also help.
