Since you're thinking of such a drastic option, have you considered family counseling to address this? I think it would be really helpful in your case. You and your husband are not on the same page. A counselor could help address this with your children and give them strategies to think about and address their own addictions. It would be a way to turn this crisis into an opportunity to grow together as a family, and give your children some crucial skills. It doesn't get easier in high school or college. Staging the intervention now is probably your best chance for turning this around.

Yes they will have that month and then come home with no skills to have fun without electronics. You have to change the rules at home.
